A handmade vase with a full, rounded body and a softly narrowed neck. Thrown in a high fired mixed body clay and reduction fired in a gas kiln, it has a rich shino glaze that shifts from deep chestnut brown to a metallic, pewter-like sheen. The surface is pitted and textured, with visible throwing lines.

Reduction firing makes every piece unique, so the colour, sheen, and texture of each vase will vary slightly.
